UUCUV Annual Charitable Giving

Each year the UUCUV allocates 3% of its operating budget to charitable causes. The distributions take place by way of grants to causes deemed to be worthy, where a contribution from us might make a noticeable impact, and where the overall cause or mission of the requesting organization is in alignment with UU principles. In addition, we seek to give to organizations where one or more of our members may have an affiliation.

Each year a task force is assembled to review the grant applications and to come to a recommendation of how our funds should be distributed. That recommendation is then sent to the Board for approval. This year’s task force consists of the Social Responsibility Committee along with our Minister and Board President serving ex-officio.

Grant applications are available at the Meetinghouse (uucuv@valley.net ) or from Rich Greenlee . The deadline to receive grant applications is April 30th, and disbursement decisions will be announced at or prior to our annual congregational meeting.
