Children's Religious Education Special Programming

Children's Chapel: Shared by all Sunday Scholars on the first Sunday morning of each month. We sing, light our chalice, share joys and concerns. A collection is taken which the children will donate to their chosen cause. Chapel is planned and led by the Junior Youth.

Spirit Play: This Montessori-based storytelling method encourages children to enter into liturgical language and do personal spiritual work in an age-appropriate manner.

Our Whole Lives for grades 7, 8, & 9: We plan to offer this excellent UUA age-appropriate course about respect, relationships, and responsibility after the holidays. Please keep your eye on the Call and see the DRE for details.

Coming of Age: Students who have completed seventh grade are invited to prepare individually for a formal Coming of Age ceremony by working with an adult mentor on a personal challenge, community outreach, congregational participation, and personal faith development to articulate their personal credo as a work in progress. Please see the DRE for details.

Young Religious UUs: High School students are invited! On the First Sunday of each month, we gather for snacks and pagan worship, exploring the use of ancient sacred images for contemporary spiritual growth and balance. On the Last Sunday of each month, we'll do some Social Action - baking desserts to support the LISTEN dinners which the UUCUV hosts on the first Monday of each month. We strongly encourage high school youth to participate in NH/VT district youth events.

First Friday Fun for Families of all sorts! Please join us at the Meeting House on the first Friday of each month around 5:30. Bring a game and a brown bag supper.
