Vote on Strategic Planning
The time has come to stake our claim for the future.
At the Annual Meeting in May, you all received the final draft of the UUCUV Seven Year Strategic Plan. This plan was developed over the course of a year and a half and identifies the major goals and objectives for us to act on in order to meet the needs of our growing congregation. The plan, organized into five major areas of focus: Worship, Religious Education, Caring Community, Social Action, and Resources, has the overriding aim:
“Over the next seven Years, guided by our mission and vision, the UUCUV will expand and enhance our core programs as we become a mid-sized congregation.”
There is also a growth projection chart in the plan which explores how different rates of growth in membership could affect our budget and our ability to be a more vibrant presence in the Upper Valley.
We hope you have been reviewing the document as now it is time to make a commitment to the plan. The Board has scheduled a congregational meeting after the Sunday service on October 21 for a vote to approve the Strategic Plan and to authorize the Board to develop a plan of implementation.
The plan is available at the Meeting House, or electronically. If you haven’t read it yet, please take a look and become familiar with the journey we are making together. And please plan on coming on October 21st.
